Geo SERP Preview is for quick market checks. Instead of guessing what Google shows in another place, you choose the search context and keep working in the normal Google interface.
It is useful before you build a page, before you report on a keyword, or whenever you need to verify what a real SERP looks like in a target market.
Choose the search context
Preview lets you control the main parts of a Google search context:
- Country - choose the Google market you want to inspect.
- Language - set the result language Google should prefer.
- Location - target a specific city or local area when needed.
- Device - compare desktop and mobile-style results.
The popup shows a summary before you enable Preview, so you can confirm the exact context that will be applied.
City targeting
Country-level checks are often enough, but local SEO needs more precision. If you choose a city, ShoSerp sends the matching location signal to Google so the results better reflect that local area.
You can search for a city inside the selected country or use the capital city shortcut when you need a quick default.
Plan limits. Starter includes country and language controls. Location and device targeting are available on Premium and Professional.
Enable and disable
Turn Preview on from the popup. While it is active, the toolbar badge shows the extension state. Turn it off when you want Google to use your normal browser context again.
Preview is paused while a Tracker run is active. This prevents the extension from changing search settings while it is collecting rankings.
Common uses
Use Preview to answer questions like:
- What does this query look like in London, Berlin, or New York?
- Does the mobile SERP show a different mix of results?
- Is the local or translated page visible in the target market?
- Which competitors actually appear before we start tracking this keyword?
